Norfolk- Aaron Austin Griffin, 84, of the 800 block of Craig Street departed this life February 3, 2011. Born in Chesapeake, he was a member and former Pastor of Saint Mary's Holy Mount Christian Church in Norfolk and he was a community servant. He retired from Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority after 35 years.

He is survived by his wife Mary A. Griffin of Chesapeake; two daughters, Victoria D. Robinson of Carrolton, VA and Rosemary Griffin of Chesapeake; a son, Donnell J. Griffin of Norfolk; fourteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be held noon Wednesday at Bethany Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Griffin Family Cemetery. Viewing will be held 3pm- 7pm Tuesday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, where the family will receive friends from 6pm – 7 pm.
