Chesapeake – Addie Mae Edmonds-Smaw of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd. , died June 21, 2008 . Born to the late William and Eva Edmonds, she was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Booker T. and Dennis Edmonds, and a sister, Margaret Richardson.

She was the widow of Edward Smaw. From this union were born two sons, Rickie Edmonds (Leahnelda) of Chesapeake and Sam Smaw of Seattle Washington , and a daughter, Edwina Smaw Roberts (Edwin) of Suffolk .

She leaves to cherish her memory four brothers, Melvin (Rose), Raymond (Betty) and Luther Edmonds (Sherry), and James Peterson of Norfolk; four sisters, Reva Lambert of Norfolk, Marion Harvey, Sarah Franklin and Eva Robinson of Chesapeake, and a host of other relatives and friends.
