Obituary

Chesapeake- Agenora M. Freeman "Mrs. Sweets" - On July 1, 2013 Agenora M. Freeman surrounded by her family, passed into eternal peace. She worked at Norfolk Naval Air Station (civil service) for almost 20 years until she became ill and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar Freeman Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters Janice Fuller, Denise Freeman, Erika Freeman and Sutalia Freeman Townsend; four sons, Tyrone Fuller, Edgar Freeman Jr., Darrell Freeman, and Shelton Freeman (Joyce); one sister Carlee Fentress; one sister in-law Agenora Taylor; very special dear friend Pastor Andrew Moore of Chesapeake; 23 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. It was customary to see Mrs. Sweets delivering food and donations in the community especially for the elderly. She will be remembered and loved by all who knew her. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday (July 9th) in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church 2153 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach, VA. The Bishop William Darryl Scott will officiate. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The viewing is at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake, VA 23324 on Monday (Jul 8th) - 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The family will assemble at 10 am at 1012 Tradewinds Road, Virginia Beach,VA for the procession on July 9, 2013.
