Alfred E. Skinner Sr., 85, of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away on August 10, 2019. He was predeceased by his parents Esther and Charles Skinner, uncle Ethro McRae, loving wife Marian C. Skinner, daughters Madge Skinner, Thomasine Skinner, and Natalie Skinner, son's Alfred Eugene Carrington Sr., and Walter Carrington III.

He leaves behind many beloved family members: son's Alfred E. Skinner Jr., Christopher Carrington Sr.(Vernida) and Donald Carrington(Shelly),daughter-in-law Dorothy Carrington, sister-in-law Leslie Cobbs and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family members.

Viewing will be held at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 5pm-7pm. The funeral will take place on Thursday, August 15, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Greater Saint Andrews A.M.E Church.
