Portsmouth - Alice Ann Jenkins, 94, of the 1400 block of Lake Forest Drive departed this life December 4, 2006. Born in Sussex County, Va., she was a great homemaker and midwife. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witnesses.



She is predeceased by her husband, William H. Jenkins, and children, Horace Jenkins, Jr., (Bertha), Charles Jenkins, and Mildred Jenkins. Survivors include five daughters, Julia Reid (Thomas) and Alnatha Russell (Horace) all of Chesapeake, Verna Van Camp (William), and Gloria Walker (Rudolph) all of Portsmouth, and Shirley Carr (Johnnie)

of Virginia Beach; son-in-law, Cecil Jenkins of Norfolk; thirty-one grandchildren, one hundred and three great grandchildren and fifty-two great-great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.



A funeral service will be held Monday at noon at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witnesses; 4050 Elliott Ave. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
