Chesapeake - Alice McDonald, 92, of the 1300 block of Almond Court was called home to be with the Lord October 9, 2006. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, she was a self-employed tax consultant and notary for over 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mark Holiness Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, a member of the choir and Missionary Board, bookkeeper and financial secretary for the church.



She was predeceased by her husband, Lee Cornelius McDonald. Survivors include her loving and caring Goddaughter, Claudia Urquhart of Chesapeake, a niece, Elizabeth Childs of Norfolk, a host of nieces, a nephew, a close friend, Arlene Turner, and her church family and friends.



A home going service will be held Saturday at noon at New St. Mark Holiness Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park.

2 pm until 6 pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
