Alice Sanderson was born on July 4, 1929 to the late Herbert and Carrie Johnson n Princess Anne County. She fell asleep in death on August 18, 2020. Ms. Alice was married to the late Raleigh Sanderson. She was a devoted housewife and domestic worker. She was predeceased by two sons Joseph Johnson and Samuel Johnson, five siblings Levy Johnson, Herbert Johnson, Jr., Margret Ellis, Louise Cuffee, Wilson Johnson, and two grandsons Troy Sanderson and Ralphael Sanderson.

She is survived by her children Raleigh Sanderson, Jr. (Myra Sanderson) of Virginia Beach, Patricia Hanbery of Chesapeake, Lynette Sanderson of Chesapeake, Lee Sanderson of Chesapeake, and Rickie N. Sanderson, Sr.(Barbara Sanderson) of Chesapeake; grandchildren Christee Sanderson, Shantell Cuffee (Ivan Cuffee), Reginald Hanbery (Tujuana Hanberry), Raleigh Sanderson III (Latoya Sanderson), Kisha Sanderson, Terry Hanberry, Tracy Gardner (Damien Gardner), Domario Sanderson (Dominique Sanderson), Rickie Sanderson, Jr., and Keshawn J. Sanderson, thirty great grandchildren, fifteen great-great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake is in charge arrangements.
