Norfolk - Alma Inez Smith, 54, of the 1300 block of East Tanners Creek Road departed this life January 8, 2012. Born in Norfolk, she was employed with the Navy exchange for 10 years. She was a graduate of Granby High School.

She is survived by her children, Tenia Smith (Jerome Allen) and Savorria Smith of Norfolk; grandson, Jordan Allen; mother, Esther MJS Christian of Norfolk; sister, Annie Deloris Booth of Portsmouth; brother, Tyrone Smith, William Henry Smith (Lynette) and Michael Leary(Paulette) of Norfolk; a close and dear cousin, Carrie Langston ; three nephews, four nieces, and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11am Saturday at Wesley Union AME Zion Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be 3-7pm Friday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
