Altanell V. Olds, known as "Lil Sister" or "Al" peacefully transitioned from this life Thursday, November 20, 2025. She was born on August 7, 1931, in Berkeley section of Norfolk, VA to the late William and Mariah Clemmons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Olds, Jr., who she married in 1949. From that union left to cherish her memories are Pernell J. Olds, Sr., (Margaret), Obron D. Sims (Cary), Mickel K. Olds (Joann), Sherrilyn Hill-Norman (Antonio), Valarie A. Olds and Gerald E. Olds (Karen).

She was a loving wife and homemaker who devoted her life to taking care of her family and others. Also, in her early years she assisted her siblings in their businesses.

She leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She leaves an abundance of her life exemplified in her children.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty St., Chesapeake, Virginia 23324. Viewing will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm on the day of the service.
