Norfolk - Andre Lamont Nixon, Sr., 58, of the 1100 block of Bainbridge Blvd. departed this life April 17, 2007. Born in Norfolk, he was employed by Herc Corporation for 5 years. He was a member of New Central Baptist Church of Norfolk, Va.



He is preceded by his mother Muriel Riddick, father Henry Wilkens, and a sister Diane Nixon. He is survived by six daughters, Terry McMillan, Lisa Harold, Andria Jernigan, Brittney Davis, Lamesha Davis, Natasha Davis; five sons, James Urquhart, Winston Johnson, Andre Nixon (Latoshia Nixon), Michkel Jernigan, Marquis Jernigan; fiancée' Rita Davis; two sisters, Carolyn Johnson, Valerie Stuckey; four brothers, Jerry Wilkins, Kelvin Wilkins, Marlo Wilkins, Anthony Wilkins; twenty-seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two aunts, one uncle, one daughter-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.



A funeral service will be held Monday at 1:00 pm at New Central Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Sunday from 12pm - 5pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
