Annie Mae Cuffee was born to Clarence and Pinky Cuffee on January 19, 1928, in Norfolk County in the historic Cuffe town. She lived a long and full life surrounded by family, faith, and kindness. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a cherished friend to all who knew her. Annie Mae lived a life of service and generosity, always ready to lend a hand, and share a kind word of encouragement. Her home was a place of comfort for everybody. Annie Mae was a gifted cook who poured her love into every meal. Her recipes were more than food, they were memories, traditions and lessons of togetherness. Sunday dinner, or a simple dish made with care, her cooking brought comfort and joy to all who gathered around her table. Equally, she had a love for sewing and creating with her hands. She made clothing, curtains, knitted quilts, hats and etc. Annie Mae was a lifelong member of St. Joseph AME Zion Church. She served faithfully as an usher, greeting others with a warm smile and gracious spirit. She loved her church family dearly and found joy in being a part of God's work, both inside and outside the church walls.
She is predeceased by her husband, Clarence Cuffee; three sons, Earl Lee Cuffee, Clarence A. Cuffee, and Alexander Cuffee; five brothers, Comer Cuffee, Roosevelt Cuffee, Charlie Cuffee, and Melvin Cuffe, and her sister Marry Morris. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Hazel M.
