Chesapeake - Arlee Vincent, Sr., was ushered into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Monday, August 11, 2014. He was a lifelong member of New Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from Atlantic Yacht Basin after 47 years of service.
He was predeceased by his parents, Luther and Minnie Vincent and son, Arlee, Jr., and the mother of his children, Geneva F. Vincent.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Jocelyn L. Vincent; daughters, Betty Brown-Clemons, Debra Edmonds, and Carolyn Vincent; five grandchildren; two great granddaughters; a great grandson; two sisters; a brother; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 17 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake. At that time friends will be able to share their fondest memories. A celebration of Arlee's life will be Monday at 11 a.m., at New Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 1765 South Military Highway, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park.
