Arthur Lee Smith, Jr., age 66, a resident of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away on March 28, 2023 in Norfolk Virginia. He was born on October 18, 1956, to the union of his predeceased parents Arthur Smith, Sr., and Wilhelmenia Worrell Smith.

Arthur retired from ILA Local 1248 after many years of service. He was a man of few words, but he meant what he said and said what he meant. He was an honest, loving and caring gentleman with many friends, who will miss him dearly.

Arthur is survived by his daughter Usellyan Smith, sister Helena Brown, and nephew Ugandalah Smith. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, a great grandson, and many cousins.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Viewing will be held from 5pm until 7pm Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the funeral home.
