Norfolk -Arthur McKinley White, 73, of the 1000 block of Goff Street departed this life life March 3, 2007. Born in Virginia Beach, he was employed with Anchor Fence for 30 years, and owned and operated Arthur M. White Enterprises for 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of Malachi Lodge #136, Prince Hall Affiliation, and

Queen Esther New Thomas Wheaton, Chapter 2, Order of the Eastern Star PHA of Virginia,



He is survived by his wife, Onriett White of Norfolk; four daughters, Patricia Brooks (William A.) and Lisa Williams (Michael) of Norfolk, Linda Johnson of Virginia Beach, and Lisa Richardson of Maryland; three sons, Arthur J. White of Norfolk, Ray A. White of New Jersey, and Dereck J. White  (Paula) of Norfolk; one brother, Thomas L. White (Stephanie) of Gulf Port, Mississippi, eighteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren; a former son-in-law, Michael Sivells; a daughter-in-law, Laverne Henderson of Landover, Maryland; two aunts, Julia Owens and Dorothy White of Virginia Beach; one sister-in-law, Matron Scott (Vernon) of Chesapeake and a host of relatives and friends.



A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, 884 Bells Mill Road, Chesapeake, with Dr. K.W. Brown, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Friday from 2pm - 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
