Chesapeake – Ashley Renee' Sawyer, 24, of the 1700 block of Campostella Road departed this life February 2, 2010. Born in Norfolk, she was a member of St. Joseph A.M.E. Church, where she attended Sunday school, sang in the choir and served on the usher board.

She is survived by her parents, Carolyn G. Sawyer and Anthony J. Sawyer, a sister, Carla Sawyer, grandmother, Marria M. Sawyer and a special grandmother, Okey J. Hitchman all of Chesapeake; seven aunts, four uncles, a host of cousins and friends.
