Obituary
On Saturday, August 1. 2015, Barbara Jean McCleese received her heavenly wings. Barbara was born on January 12, 1939 to the late Ora Dunbar Hawkins and Luther McCleese. She was predeceased by three brother and three sisters.
Barbara accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. She was kind hearted and loved to cook for her family and friends. Barbra enjoyed being around her family and having a good time. She was educated in the Portsmouth Public School System.
Left to cherish her memory, her son, Larry Lamont McClease; three sisters, Evelyn Houston of Pontiac, Michigan, Helen Reed of Norfolk, Virginia, and Gloria Woolard of Chesapeake, Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at New Hope United Church of Christ, 145 E. Liberty Street, Norfolk.
