Obituary

Virginia Beach - Barbara H. Clark, 66, entered into eternal rest June 1, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Annette Williams Sloan, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born February 24, 1946 in Manhattan, N.Y. to the late David and Victoria Harvey. She attended G. W. Carver High School in Chesapeake, Virginia. She was a Production Controller at Norfolk Naval Shipyard for 42 years and 8 months until she retired in September 2011.

She was predeceased by her grandmother, Nannie Easley , her oldest grandson, Demarlo V. Harvey and a daughter, Gwendolyn Harvey. Memories are cherished by her four children and family; daughters, Annette Williams Sloan (Edwin), Deserine Woolard both of Virginia Beach and Verne Harvey of Chesapeake; one son, Reginald Harvey (LaVern) of Virginia Beach; nine grandsons, Antione Harvey of Chesapeake, Rondrae Martin of Virginia Beach, A1C Tayonn Harvey of Lakeland AFB, Texas, Desmond Harrison of Portsmouth, Reginald Alston of Beverly Hill, CA, Deonte Harvey and Duron Bryant of Virginia Beach, J'kwon Harvey of Chesapeake, and Malcolm Brown of Norfolk; a special grandson-in-law, Jamele Gibson; seven grandaughters, Akita Harvey, Ebony Clark and Lakeisha Harvey of Virginia Beach, Chantill Harvey of Atlanta, GA, Jasmine Harvey and Rashena Harvey of Chesapekae, and Amiaya Brown of Accokee, MD; eleven great grandchildren, Rylia Williams of Virginia Beach, Azareii Harvey of Emporia, Sanaa Martin and Aniya Martin of Chesapeake, De'Kwon Bell of Virginia Beach, Antione A. Harvey of Chesapeake, Asiyah Heckstall of Norfolk, Jaquez Martin, Keyonta Harvey, Jemele Harvey and Keyon Harvey all of Chesapeake; one sister, Gloria Harvey of Chesapeake; two brothers, Walter Easley of Chesapeake and Marvin Daniels of Norfolk; a special friend, David Wilson, Sr.; a special mother-in-law, Gladys Taylor; two special sisters-in-law, Julia Delmar and Angela Seay; best friends, Barbara Judge (B.J.), Audrey Hatten, Jean and Elijah Griffin and Mildred Artis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held noon Wednesday at First Baptist Church Gilmerton with Pastor John Ashby, officiating. Entombment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no public viewing.
