Betty O. Sumner, 70, of Norfolk, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 19, 2010. She was pre-deceased by her mother, Alice Wells, father, Otis Simmons and husband, Henry Sumner Sr. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church Campostella.

She leaves to cherish her memory five daughters Regina Key, Linda Sumner-Holmes, Rose Williams, Sherrie Sawyer, Barbara Dickerson and one son, Henry Sumner Jr., eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Campostella with the Rev. Tyrone Jackson officiating. Burial will in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake, VA. Viewing will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, VA.
