On December 24, 2025 our precious mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, cousin, and friend Beverly Anne Drake, peacefully passed away and entered into eternal rest. She was born on November 5, 1959, to the late Lillian H. Smith Drake and Prince Leroy Drake, Jr. in Portsmouth, Virginia. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Beverly attended Anne's Beauty College and was awarded a certificate award in 1981.

Beverly was a great mother, sister and friend who was very dedicated to anything she does.  She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

Beverly leaves to cherish her memory one son Michael Anthony Drake, two brothers Curtis Drake and Michael O. Drake, four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake.
