Obituary

Boston Sherman Sivels was called home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2019. On February 4,1940, Sherman was born to Ervin and Charlina Sivels in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Sherman served honorably in the United States Army and retired after 20 years of dedicated services. He was employed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, and General Dynamics for 20 years until he retired.

Sherman is survived by his wife Rosalyn CrossSivels; his children Boston Jr., Andre Sivels (Lynn), Joy Sivels, Curtist Sivels (Jackie), and Penny Davis (Steven); his brothers and sisters, William, Glenn (Yvette), Marquis (Gloria), Modestine (Sandra), Randy (Lawanda), Helen Brooks, Lola Elliott, Mary Simons, Arnette Clyburn (Robert), Cynthia Spence (Bobby), and a host of stepchildren, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral;l service will be held 10:00 am Thursday at New Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Viewing will be from 5pm until 7pm Wednesday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
