Norfolk - Carlyse Wilson Casey, 79, was called home to be with the Lord after a long illness on Tuesday, October 23, 2007. A native of Norfolk, she was born to the late Cornelius and Mary Emma Wilson. She was a lifelong member of St. Mark United Church of Christ. She retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center.



Carlyse leaves to cherish her precious memories two sons, Wyman Duke (Ella) of Chesapeake and Avilla Casey (Rosetta) of Norfolk; two daughters, Rita Person of Virginia Beach and Carmela Casey of Norfolk; a devoted brother, Lloyd D. Wilson (Margaret) and a sister, Gloria Smith; nine grandchildren, Anissa Person, Carmela Duke, Darrell Person, Brian Duke, Jenovia Person, Edrita Mills, Sharon Smith, Glenn Wilson, and Carlyle Smith of Bowie, MD; six great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.



A homegoing celebration will be conducted noon Saturday at St. Mark United Church of Christ at 521 Obendorfer Rd, Norfolk, by Rev. Thomas J. Hart. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. A viewing will held Friday from 2pm - 7pm  at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake is in charge of arrangements.
