Chesapeake - Carolyn Jean Cason-Sierra, 64, of the 200 block of East Dexter Street departed this life and went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2014. She was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

She is survived by her mother, jean C. Mayes; sons, Anthony Cason and Troy Cason; sisters, Joan P. Cason, Sherri Mayes and Veronica Jackson; brothers, Daniel L. Cason and Rev. Jay Mayes (Rev. Toni V.); grandchildren, Gabrielle Overton, D'Quay and D'Quan Griffin, Ayden Cason and Nevaeh Felton; her best friend, Rosemarie Cuffee and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at St. Johns AME Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Tuesday from 3-7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
