Chesapeake - Carolyn V. Johnson, 68, departed from this life on Saturday, December 29, 2012. She was born December 14, 1944 in Norfolk.
She is predeceased by her mother, Muriel Nixon-Cowell, one sister, Dianne Nixon, two brothers, Andre Nixon, and Jerry Riddick. Survivors include four daughters, Annette Chesson, Angela Nixon, and Alfreda Johnson of Chesapeake, and Paula Lovett of Virginia Beach; three sons, Tyrone Nixon, Ives Nixon, and Bobby Johnson of Chesapeake; a sister, Valerie Stuckey of Pittsburg, PA; three brothers, Kevin Wilkins, Marlon Wilkins, and Anthony Wilkins of Chesapeake, thirty grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held noon Saturday at New Central Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Friday from 3pm-7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com.
