Norfolk - The chapter of Life on earth was completed for Carrie Louise Hinton, 71, of the 600 block of East Virginia Beach Boluvard on 20 February 2007 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.  Born in Darlington, South Carolina, she was employed with Leigh Memorial Hospital until her retirement.



She was preceded in death by her mother, Viola B. Jackson; father, Robert Jackson; daughter, Charlotte A. Hinton; and an aunt, Mary Jones.



She leaves to cherish her memory son; Clifton E. Hinton; daughter, Veronica L. Hinton; grandchildren, Jamal D. Hinton, DeShaun A. Hinton; Clifton E. Gray, Crystal Mapp, and Kiara Mapp; three great grandchildren. Best supporting and mutual friends, Olivia Covington and Jeanette Hawkins, and a host of cousins and friends.



A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
