Casteen Elizabeth Rodgers passed away February 8, 2015 at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Robert White, Sr., husband Robert Rodgers Sr., sisters, Sylvia McDaniel, Rosa Coleman, Miriam Lee, and Vivian White, and son-in-law, Charles Somerville. She retired from the Chesapeake Public School System after 25 years as a food service worker.

She is survived by her children, Saundra Somerville, Gloria Rodgers Harrell (Earl), Cynthia Wright (Tony), Robert Rodgers, Jr., Jacqueline Rodgers Easley, Samuel Rodgers (Sandy), Vincent Rodgers (Carmen), Andre Rodgers (Paloma), and Valencia Jones (Derick); one sister, Patsy Young (Austin); one brother Robert White; nineteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1705 Shipyard Rd, Chesapeake. Viewing will be held from 3-7pm Wednesday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, where the family will receive friends from 6-7pm.
