Obituary
God called Cedric home on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Howard University Hospital. He was born on September 7, 1954 to the late Melvine and Edward N. Williams Sr.
Cedric was employed at Howard University Hospital as Supervisor of the Printing and Duplication Shop from October 4, 1981 until he retired on February 28, 2005. He was adored by all and instrumental in the design and management of the hospital's decentralized photocopier program. There was no task of job requirement for which Cedric would not find a viable, timely, and cost effective solution.
Cedric is survived by his brother Tracy O. Williams of Upper Marlboro, MD.; two stepsisters, Anita Golden (Ray) and Patricia C. Shorter both of Chesapeake; two stepbrothers, Rev. Timothy Williams, Jr. (Diseree) of Chesapeake, and Howard A. Williams (Wanda) of Maryland; two aunts, Thelda Harris (David) of Hampton, and Mary Lamb of Texas, God mother, Julia Lomas of Washington, DC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Monticello Baptist Church, 2722 Kimball Terrace, Norfolk. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake is in charge of arrangements. You may offer condolences to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com .
