Chesapeake – Charles Odell Stancil, 87, of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd., departed this life February 17, 2010. Born in Chesapeake, he retired from the United States Navy after 22 years of loyal and honorable service. He was a member of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

He was predeceased by his wife Maxine Stancil. Survivors include three daughters, one son, a host of grand children, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Tuesday from 3 – 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
