Beloved husband of late Audrey L. Walywn, Mr. Charles A. Walwyn, Sr. was raised in New York City, where he attended DeWit Clinton HS and the City University of NY, where he received a degree in Engineering. Upon Graduation from college, he worked for the City of New York, where he served as the Deputy Commission for the Department of Public Works.

Upon retirement he and Audrey became residents of Chesapeake, VA. Once in Virginia he became an active member of St Mary's Basilica Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 367. During his time at the Knights he rose to the level of Grand Knight.

He is survived by his son, Charles A. Walwyn, Jr., granddaughter, Saundra Williamson-Cader, grandson, Charles A. Walwyn III, daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Walwyn, grandson in law, Rheyan Cader, and three great grandchildren, Anthony Williamson, Reanna Cader and Zachary Cader, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home on Monday, April 26 between 6-7 pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Basilica in Norfolk, VA on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 11:00 am. Please join the livestream at:
