Chesapeake ? Charlie Augustus Griffin, Sr., 64, of the 100 block of Welch Lane departed this life December 30, 2006. Born in Chesapeake, he is predeceased by his wife Belinda D. Griffin, father, Charlie Griffin, and his brother, Owen D. Griffin.



He is survived by his mother, Mildred Griffin of Chesapeake; one daughter, Malinda D. Blowe (Jason) of Virginia Beach; one son, Charlie A. Griffin, Jr. (Becky) of Harrisburg, PA; one stepdaughter, Robin L. Reid of Chesapeake; three stepsons, Michael L. Griffin (Michelle) of Chesapeake, Carlton J. Griffin (Pamela) of Virginia Beach, and Anthony M. Griffin of Portsmouth; three sisters, Mildred Taylor (Robert) of Chesapeake, Joyce Downing (Edward) of Wichita Falls, TX, and Denita Dozier of Chesapeake; one brother, Winfred Griffin (Mary) of Chesapeake, two aunts, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.



A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
