Chase Savelle Burke, age 34, passed away on May 11, 2020 at Norfolk Sentara Hospital in Norfolk, Va. Chase was born on May 4, 1986 to Lawrence Burke and Debra Williams in Portsmouth, Va.
Chase was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School located in Norfolk, Va. Chase lived a prosperous life as a restaurant manager and host of several well-established restaurants in Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. Chase is often fondly remembered as full of life, energetic, and honest. Chase's personality shone brightly as he was many times known for his infectious humor. When not at home in D.C., Chase loved to travel with family and friends. His love for music sent Chase auditioning for shows like American Idol and The Voice, singing glorious melodies or boasting a ballad from his favorite singer, Whitney Houston, from miles away with his charismatic voice.
Chase is survived by his mother, Deborah Williams (Jerry); his father, Lawrence Burke (Frances); his sisters, LaTonia and Jayveus Burke; his brothers, Brandon Burke and Calvin Barksdale; a niece, Naja Riddick; two nephews, Jayvon and Dallas; his grandfather, L.C. Smith; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Viewing will be held at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home located in Chesapeake , Virginia on Friday, May 15, 2020 from 10am - 11am with a live stream at 12pm. Chase will be laid to rest at Roosevelt Memorial Park in Chesapeake, Virginia afterwards.
