Christopher Carrington Sr., 71, of Virginia Beach,  Virginia, passed away on September 21, 2019. Chris was predeceased by his parents Walter G. Carrington and Marian Carrington Skinner, and stepfather Alfred E. Skinner Sr., brothers Alfred Eugene Carrington Sr. (Teresa), and Walter Carrington III, and son Christopher Carrington Jr.

He leaves behind his wife Vernida Carrington, brother Donald Carrington (Shelly), sister-in-law Dorothy Carrington, children Teri Townes (Karl), Gwendolyn Carrington (Christopher), Erica Carrington, Cherrisse Crane (James), Gregory Shade, and Natasha Mathis (Gregory), and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members and friends that will miss him dearly.

Viewing will be held at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 5pm-7pm. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 26, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Greater Saint Andrews A.M.E Church, 3008 MacDonald Road, Virginia Beach. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
