New York - Claudia C. Griffin was born in Norfolk, Virginia on March 13, 1924 to the late Claude M. and Josie Lee Woodley Griffin and died on March 10, 2010 in Isabella Rehab Center in New York. She was a 1945 graduate of St. Joseph's Catholic School.

Claudia was a kind and loving person who was like a second mother and a good friend to all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Merlyn Griffin and Mrs. Virginia G. Helms (Charles, Sr.), and a brother, Melvin M. Griffin (Essie).

She leaves to cherish her memory, a niece Mrs. Cynthia Hurdle (Horace) of Portsmouth, Virginia, several nephews, Alvin and Kenneth Griffin of Norfolk, Virginia, Corey Jackson (Tonya) of Portsmouth, Virginia and Harold Booker of New York, a sister-in-law, Rebecca Griffin, a host of great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and many friends.
