Norfolk – Clifton R. Creekmore, 75, of the 3100 block of Kansas Avenue departed this life January 26, 2010. Born in Norfolk, he was employed with Georgia Pacific for 20 years until he retired in 1998.

He is survived by his son, Sherman Creekmore of Norfolk; stepmother, Jessie Mae Creekmore of Norfolk; five sisters, Earsell Prince of Georgia, Gloria Johnson of Norfolk, Belinda Miller (Otis) of Suffolk, Pamela Creekmore of Richmond and Leona Phelps (Ray) of Norfolk; five brothers, James Roberts (Joella) of Norfolk, Lewis Creekmore(Jonnie) of California, Jerry Creekmore (Melissa) of Virginia Beach, Paul Clark (Joann) of Georgia and Milton Creekmore (Felita) of North Carolina; three grandchildren, one great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, Ruth Stewart and Winona Williams of New York.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held Tuesday from 2-7pm at the funeral home.
