Obituary
Colena Barfield, 97, of Brooklyn, New York was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 14, 2017. She was born on July 25, 1919 in Camden, North Carolina to the late Andrew and Gracie Ann Spellman.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three brothers, Leon Spellman of Ellendale, DE, Isaiah Spellman of Brooklyn, NY, and Henry Spellman (Rose) of Waterbury, CT; one sister, Esther Collins of Chesapeake, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A home going service will be held 1pm Saturday at Guiding Light Apostolic Church, 384 Ivy Neck Road, Camden, North Carolina. Burial will follow at the Spellman Family Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
