Chesapeake - Conway Spence, 64, of the 1900 block of Robert Hall Blvd, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2015. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, he was the son of the late Linwood A. Spence Sr. and Mable Lewis Spence. He was employed as a roofer for Block Roofing Company until his health began to fail.

He is predeceased by his brothers, Linwood Spence Jr., Carver L. Spence, and Alwin E. Spence. He is survived by his wife Janie Spence, son, Conway Spence Hyman, grandson, Taevon M. Hyman, granddaughter, Taleya M. Williams-Hyman,sisters, Sarah L. Floyd of Baltimore, MD and Angela Y. Spence of Chesapeake, VA, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special cousins, Carolyn, Gloria and Lorraine, and a host of relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at New Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 1104 Fentress Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322.
