Norfolk- Curtis Augustus Johnson, 62, of the 700 block of E. 27th Street departed this life February 18, 2012. Born in Chesapeake, he was a member of United Mission Holiness Church, where he served as a Deacon and a member of the Church Council.
He is survived by his wife, Mirian L. Johnson; daughter, Curtina Johnson-Ferbee of Richmond; son, Curtis A. Johnson Jr. of New York; mother, Dorothy Johnson of Norfolk; three sisters, Catherine Baldwin (Herman) and Marion Murphy of Norfolk, and Diane Jones of Chesapeake; three brothers, Frank Johnson (Joyce) of Chesapeake, Rev. Ronnie Johnson (Rosena) of Virginia Beach, and Phillip Johnson of Colorado; five grandchildren, four aunts, one uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at United Mission Holiness Church. Interment will follow at the Johnson Family Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 3-7pm Thursday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com .
