Daisy Matilda Brown Cuffee, 85, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2023.  She was born in Chesapeake, Virginia, formally known as Norfolk County. She was the daughter of the late William and Daisy Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph C. Cuffee, Sr., and her son William Cuffee, and two sisters, Armenta Liverman and Dorothy Brown, respectively, and her only brother Cornelius Brown.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all. She is survived by her children, Beverly Brown, Priscilla Cuffee, Retired 1Sgt Rudolph C. Cuffee, Jr. (Sun), Rev. Dr. Sallie Cuffee, Ph.D., and Julia Cuffee of Chesapeake, VA; Selena Cuffee-Glenn (Keith) of Richmond, VA; Janet Cuffee of Suitland, Maryland; and Debbie Fauntleroy (Glen) of Alpharetta, Georgia.

Daisy worked at Lynn Shores Manor for 28 years. She retired in 1998 from working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). She was a committed Christian and lifelong member at Gabriel Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. Affectionately, she was known as Lil' Daisy by her family and friends. She is also survived by her sisters, Deaconess Dorethea Cuffee and Estella Brown of Chesapeake, VA; Pastor Linda Ray Richardson of Jersey City, New Jersey; Ruth Thomas (Eddie) of Lorton, VA; and sister-in-law, Bernice Cuffee of Vancouver, Washington; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

A family viewing will be held from 5p.m.-7 p.m., Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake, Virginia.
