Norfolk – Daisy W. McCoy, 85, was called home November 27, 2010 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born October 4, 1925 to the late David and Jane White, she was married to the late Theodore J. McCoy Sr. She was employed with Norfolk Public Schools until her retirement. She attended First Baptist Church Campostella at an early age.

She was preceded in death by Marie, Elizabeth, David, Johnnie and Sarah White. Those left to cherish her memory are four daughters, Gwendolyn Dozier, Debora Hamlin (Lionel), Alfreda Brown (Donald), and Felicia McCoy; one son Ronald McCoy; a stepson, Francis McCoy; twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of her Life will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at Enoch Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. Viewing will be held Friday from 3 – 7 pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, where the family will receive friends from 6-7pm. Online condolences maybe offered at www.pretlowandsons.com.
