Norfolk – Dale Gerome Royster Toliver, 65, of the 5100 block of S. Cape Henry Avenue departed this life December 5, 2008. Born in Norfolk, she was employed with the City of Norfolk for over 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Way of the Cross E.L.I.M., where she was active in the Homeless Ministry and was a former choir member.

She was predeceased by her husband, Vaney E. Toliver. Survivors include her daughter, Tiffany E. Toliver of Norfolk; son, Michael W. Royster (Freda) of Portsmouth; sister, Malinda O. Royster of Chesapeake; two brothers, Ernest L. Royster of New York and Curtis D. Royster (Faye) of Kentucky; a special niece, Jocelyn M. Royster of Richmond; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
