On February 9, 2018, God called home one of his sons, Dantè  Lamont Jenkins.  Dantè was born on July 31, 1977 to the late Danny Jenkins and Cynthia Sivels Spence.  He attended Butts Road Elementary School, Great Bridge Junior High and graduated from Oscar Smith High School, Chesapeake, VA.  He was employed by Linx Industries, Inc. and Club Allure.

Dantè L. Jenkins was a member of the New Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. John C. Smith.  Left with lasting and fond memories are his mother and step-father, Cynthia Spence and Bobby Spence. His siblings, Tremayne Sivels (Tracey), Cyreeta Price (John), Clarence Whitley, Jr., and Denise Phillips (Travis); eight nieces and nephews; five uncles and five aunts on his mother's side; three aunts and two uncles on his father's side; his significant other, Sandra Burgess, and a host of relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 12, 2018 at New Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 1104 Fentress Road, Chesapeake, VA, Rev. John C. Smith officiating pastor.  A viewing will be held at the church on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 4pm until 5 pm. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
