Norfolk - Delores Ellis Gunter, 73, of the 800 block of Wilson Road was called home to be with the Lord April 16, 2008. Born in Norfolk, she was a member of First Pentecostal United Holy Church, where she was a member of the senior choir.



She is predeceased by her husband, Paige L. Gunter. Survivors include four daughters, Catherine B. Whitehead of Norfolk, Valerie Fergerson of N.C., Latricia G Nicholes of Norfolk, and Lolita G. Powell (Curtis) of Chesapeake; four sons, William Bryant Jr. (Gloria) of Norfolk, Prentiss L. Gunter (Margo) of Virginia Beach, Patrick W. Gunter (Lisa) and Curtis L. Gunter (Darlene) of Norfolk; one sister, Lillie Seward of Norfolk; fourteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.



A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at First Pentecostal United Holy Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held 12pm - 5pm Sunday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
