Chesapeake - Delores L. Howard, 61, of the 300 block of Dexter Street departed this life May 26, 2007. Born in Norfolk, she was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board.



She is predeceased by her husband, George W. Howard, and her parents, Henry and Geraldine Moore. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon S. Miller of Chesapeake; three sons, Willie Rice, and Gerald Rice (Dixie) of Norfolk, and George Howard of Portsmouth; two sisters, Patricia Wilson of Newport News and Sabrina Taylor (Michael) of Suffolk; one brother, Jerry Rice (Sarah) of Maryland, seventeen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.



A funeral service will be held Friday at noon at New Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held Thursday from 2pm - 7pm at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
