Portsmouth- Delores Virginia Clark Scott, 78, of 1000 block of Basie Crescent entered into eternal rest life June 25, 2010. Born in the Campostella Section of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Willie E. Clark, Jr. and Hilda Cordelia Lamb.
She was a graduate of Booker T Washington High School Class of 1948, and she attended Norfolk State University, majoring in Business. She was employed at the Naval Supply Center Norfolk, retiring in 1987 as a Supervisory Accounting Technician after over 34 years of loyal service.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Berkley where she was a member of the Dean/Munden Bible Class, secretary of the Sunday school and cd/tape orders, and sick and shut-in manager.
She was predeceased by her husband, Elbert E. Scott, sister, Cordelia Clark, and brother, Allen Clark. Survivors include three sons, Elbert E. Scott, Jr. (Delaney), Ronald A. Scott (Karen) and Wendell R. Scott; three grandchildren, Erica M. Scott, Ronald A. Scott, Jr., and Savannah G. Scott; one great grandson, Isaiah M. Scott; a brother, Willie E. Clark III (Geraldine); sister-in-law, Barbara Clark; nieces, Lynn Rozier (Spencer) Kelly Nichombou (Franscois), Tonya Clark, and Donna Stukes; (Alfonszo); nephews, Wayne Clark (Mary) and Eric Sawyer (Betty), and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friend.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Berkley. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held 3 pm – 7 pm Monday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, where the family will receive friends from 6-7pm.
