Virginia Beach - Demint Frazier Walker, 60, of the 5100 block of Andover Court departed this life January 28, 2007. Born in Norfolk, he served in the United States Army for 20 years until his retirement, and received numerous military awards. He was a member of Burning Bush Worship Center and a Mason.



He was predeceased by his father, Abraham L. Walker and two sisters, Carrie D. Peebles and Ruth M. Rose. Survivors include his wife, Victoria G. Walker of Virginia Beach; one daughter, LaDonna D. Henry (Dethaniel) of Gates County, NC; two sons, Michael C. Walker of Suffolk and Brandon D. Walker (Christine) of Virginia Beach; his mother, Ruth E. Walker; two brothers, Patrick Walker (Teresa) of Hampton and Frederick Walker of NY; seven grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.



A funeral service will be held Thursday at noon at St. Thomas A.M.E Zion Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
