On September 29, 2024, Diane Marie Mullen was called home to be with her Heavenly Father. Born on June 18, 1956, she was the sixth born child of Willie Mae Griffin and William Henry Mullen in Chesapeake County. She grew up in a home of nine children. To anyone who knew her, she was the life of the party and loved her family. She loved her son, who was the apple of her eye.

She was predeceased by her parents, Willie Mae Griffin and William Henry Mullen; her brothers, Henry Mullen, Robert Lee Mullen, Charlie Mullen, Larry Mullen and Ricky Mullen; and sisters, Delma Banks and Phyllis Mullen. She leaves to cherish her memory one brother, George Mullen; one son, Tyrone Mullen; two granddaughters, LaToya Mullen and Tyra Mullen; one great-granddaughter, Zimorah Bland; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 12:00pm, at New Weeping Mary Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Viewing will be held from 5pm until 7pm on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
