On Tuesday, March 14, 2017, Donald Lee Eason quietly and peacefully slipped away from Earth to Glory surrounded by his loving wife and family.  Donald, also known as Don, was the eldest child of seven born to the late Arthur and Laura Eason on December 19, 1934.   He was predeceased by a son, Baby Donald Lee Eason and two brothers,Arthur Eugene "Gene" Eason, and Irvin A. Eason.

Don resided in Brooklyn, NY for over 25 years.  Upon returning to Virginia he was employed by the City of Chesapeake where he retired after twenty years.

Don was quiet and enjoyed spending time sitting on the front porch "shooting the breeze" with family and friends.  He loved a good joke.  Don was truly blessed and his children loved him dearly.

Don leaves to cherish his memory, a very loving, devoted and caring wife,   Gloria N. Eason; four daughters, Denise Eason Lewis, Lavern Eason, Diane Eason, Donna Eason Sanford, one son, Samuel E. Eason, two step-daughters, Felicia Cuffee, Melissa Cuffee, stepsons Andre Cuffee, Travis Cuffee and Sanford Cuffee, one brother, Eddie Eason, three sisters, Jacqueline E. Wilson, Verona M. Eason, and Sarah Eason Williams (Melvin), and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.    .

Viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
