Chesapeake - Doris G. Ridley joined her heavenly father on Friday, August 18, 2012. She was born on August 22, 1953 in Norfolk, VA., to the late Willie Gilliam and Emma Jane Gilliam. Doris retired from CHKD Hospital as a Lab Technician. She was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Russell Ridley, Jr., sister Bessie Aretha Sparrow; two brother's Lester M. Berry and William L. Berry, and a beloved neice Desheral Gilliam.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son's Joshua Gilliam and Corey Ridley and step-son Darrius Ridley; sisters Gloryies Jean Gilliam (Norfolk), Willie Mae Young (James-Virginia Beach); Ruby Lee Gilliam-Askew (Paul-Norfolk) a host of loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Her memorial service will be held, Wednesday August 22, 2012 at 1:00 pm at The Norfolk Botanical Garden in the Rose Garden. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake is in charge of arrangements. Condolences can be offered to the family at www.pretlowandsons.com .
