Chesapeake - Doris Lee Wilson McDonald, 86, was called home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2013. A native of Chesapeake, she was an Avon Representative for over 25 years. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph AME Zion Church, where she was a dedicated Deaconess, Missionary, Trustee, Senior Choir member, and Church Woman of the Year.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Kenneth A. McDonald, Sr., of Chesapeake; two daughters, Doris Chavis and Sheila Harleston (Robert) of Maryland; two sons, Kenneth A. McDonald (Cynthia) and Ralph McDonald (Donette) of Maryland; three sisters, Louise M. Griffin of Chesapeake, Jessie Bernice Williams of Maryland and Dorothy Mae Morris of Norfolk; four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph AME Zion Church. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 3pm-7pm Tuesday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph AME Zion Church, 1540 Atlantic Ave, Chesapeake, VA 23324.
