IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Earlie Robinson
Jr.
June 10, 1935 – February 1, 2026
Earlie Robinson Jr., born June 10, 1935, went on to be with the Lord peacefully at his home on February 1, 2026. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great‑grandfather, son, brother, and uncle whose life was defined by love, integrity, and service to others.
Earlie was a man who loved his wife and children deeply. He found joy in seeing others succeed and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Those who knew him admired his honesty, his fairness, and his natural ability to listen with patience and understanding. His quiet strength made people feel seen, heard, and supported.
Born in Lancaster, South Carolina, Earlie was the son of Earlie Robinson Sr. and Flonnie Sowell Robinson. He grew up in a large, close-knit family as one of eleven children, surrounded by the values of hard work, humility, and loyalty that shaped the man he became.
Earlie dedicated 35 years of service to Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He began as a hospital cook before transferring to the City of New York Hospital Police unit, where he continued to serve his community with commitment and integrity. Earlier in life, he was drafted into the United States Army, serving during the Cold War. Though his service was brief due to a family separation hardship, he was honorably discharged at the rank of Private—an experience that remained a meaningful part of his life.
Earlie is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Deloys Robinson, and by his children Kathy Robinson-Danzy (Franky Danzy) and Lavonne Robinson-Sullivan, whom he welcomed earlier in life, and Valerie Hutchinson (Courtney Hutchinson), Renie Smith, Ernest Mingo (Sheila Mingo), and Edward Robinson, whom he later raised with his wife, each of whom he loved deeply. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, many great‑grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews all of whom brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his siblings Waldo Robinson (Jean Louallen-Robinson), Hazel Robinson, and Rudene Robinson-Felton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings, including Johnnie Robinson, Mary Robinson-Parker, Curtis Robinson, Sylvia Robinson-Blackwell, Hade Robinson Sr, Elmore Robinson, Hiawatha Robinson. Within his family, Earlie was the backbone, the steady presence everyone leaned on. His guidance, strength, and unwavering love will remain a lasting legacy in the lives of all who knew him.
