Edith Diane Williams Harris, 55, of the 1600 block of Arcturus Lane departed this life January 11, 2008. Born in Ahoskie, North Carolina, she was preceded in death by her father, Marvin E. Williams, Sr.



She is survived by her husband, James P. Harris Jr., daughter, Christina D. Harris and son, Joel P. Harris all of Virginia Beach; mother, Mary L. Williams of Portsmouth, two sisters, Veta L. Roundtree (Wayne) of Suffolk, and Lolita Moore of Portsmouth; three brothers, Bobby E. Williams, Marvin E. Williams, Jr., and Rick Lawrence all of Portsmouth; one grandchild, Alicia R. Harris of Chesapeake, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.



A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Emmaus Church, 4209 Portsmouth Blvd, Chesapeake, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be held 2pm- 7pm Wednesday at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
